What is GNC Toolbox?
GNC Toolbox is a technical reference site for Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineering. The goal is to build a structured, high-quality knowledge base that is actually useful for practising engineers and serious students — not just surface-level introductions.
The content reflects real engineering experience across navigation and sensor fusion, Kalman filtering, inertial navigation, autopilot design, and simulation.
How the site is organised
Articles — the main content. This includes:
- Deep-dive technical articles on specific GNC topics
- Concise reference notes (coordinate frames, noise models, derivations)
- Multi-part series that build from theory to implementation
Resources — curated external material:
- Books, papers, and reference standards
- Code libraries and tools
- Useful websites and software
Courses — structured, in-depth courses available on Udemy that go beyond the free content here.
Where to begin
If you are new to GNC, start with the fundamentals — rotations and coordinate frames, then state estimation. If you are a practising engineer looking for reference material, browse the articles by topic or use the search.
The site is actively being built out. Content will be added incrementally.
